Experience
McKenzie has been an adjunct
instructor at four schools in three states. He has worked as an
assistant master printer at the Center for Innovative Printmaking at
Rutgers University under the supervision of Judith Brodsky. His
administrative experience was gained at the Printmaking Council of New
Jersey, where he served as Administrative Director for two years. Stephen
McKenzie is now Manager of the Arts Workshop at The Newark Museum where
he is responsible for adult programming of craft and fine art studio
programs, a position he has held for over twelve years.
World Record Print Size
In 1999 printmaker
Stephen McKenzie beat the world record in printmaking by creating a
monumental print in the parking lot of The Newark Museum where he works
as the Manager of The Arts Workshop. To accommodate the size of this
mammoth monotype, McKenzie had to use a steamroller ! |
