EWA MASLOWSKA, NAMED ONE OF THE BEST PAINTERS IN THE WORLD, HAS SHOWING OF HER WORK IN CLARK, NJ FROM FEBRUARY 8-29

The Skulski Art Gallery of the Polish Cultural Foundation in Clark, New Jersey is pleased to present paintings by outstanding Polish artist Ewa Maslowska from February 8 through 29, 2008. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, February 8, 2008, from 8:00-10:30 p.m. The public is welcome, admission is free and refreshments will be served. At the same time, she also completed a private education in the Professor’s Atelier from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, which resulted in her acceptance for membership by the Polish Organization for Professional Artists (ZPAP). She has been a member of several painters groups, such as: Porton (a group of professional artists under UNESCO), TARU project (Finnish artist organization of the EU) and the Dutch Foundation. Ewa Maslowska has won many competitions. The Dutch Foundation appointed her as one of the best painters in the world in the year 2000. Also, in 2003 she won a competition for the opening of the International Cultural Center in Helsinki and the Dutch Foundation named her as one of the 500 best painters in the world at the exhibition in Seoul, Korea. She has presented her works in over 100 exhibitions, including about 70 individual shows in Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Finland, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Australia, Peru, USA and many others. Ms. Maslowska generally works independently, however she collaborates with various groups of artist from different parts of the world, which adds to her artistic development. The diversity of cultures, landscapes, light and color inspires Maslowska. She is mainly occupied with oil painting, but also works watercolors, acrylics, distempers and pastels. Strong light contrast is the characteristic feature of all her paintings. The pastels, especially three most representative cycles Nudes, Knots and Ballet gain brightness due rubbing layers of dry pastels into the paper and later painting with brush. Bigger oil cycles Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, are the result of the artist’s wandering about in these courtiers. A cycle Children depicts Maslowska’s children. In addition has been recently presented in Poland, Denmark, Finland and Austria. Apart from the exhibitions, Maslowska initials performances and happenings starting vision of the flight for peace in the world. Ewa Maslowska is also an author of almost 50 books for children, including 30 with her own texts. The books were published in many countries such as Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, Belarus, Ukraine, France, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and others.
